The Falkland Islands/Malvinas are a wildlife-lovers dream. Miles and miles of white sand teeming with snoozing seals, skies full of soaring albatrosses, and cyan waters bubbling with porpoising penguins. Endemic wrens sneak amongst the rocky shore whilst flightless steamer ducks surf the waves.
I'm incredibly fortunate in that these islands are the base for my PhD research, where I study the feeding behaviour of the Falkland Islands shag. You can read more about my research and the adventures behind it in my blog.
