At the very tip of the UK lie the wildly endearing Shetland isles. I was fortunate to spend a couple of weeks trying to retrieve tags from red-throated divers as part of the Red-throated Diver Energetics Project, followed by a week of exploring the coastline. Rough moorland lochans, jagged sea stacks and islands upon islands...it's a very special place to visit.
